Established in 2000, Learn2Rip Surf and Ocean Academy set out to focus on safety in the surf lesson community. Surfing isn’t rocket science, but mastering it involves many factors. Founder and life-long surfer, Cary Ortiz, crafted a unique curriculum that focuses on the learner grasping key concepts and safety skills in the first lesson. For this reason, we don’t charge hourly, and we invite our students to come back and surf with us for free!
Our main goals for students are:
- Teach you advanced surfing skills with safety as a priority.
- Offer you the chance to be part of a friendly surf community comprised of former students ranging from beginning to advanced surfers.
- Promote environmental awareness and ocean safety to restore our planet’s oceans.

Beginners:

Intermediates:

Almost there! You’re riding high with a high wave count and inner peace, but there’s just a few more skills to master!
